If you’re interested in breeding alpacas, quite obviously you’ll need a female. That female has to be able to get pregnant and deliver a healthy cria. Springtime Farms offers a solid breeding guarantee. Your female huacaya alpaca will be able to breed. She will also either be pregnant when you buy her, or you’ll be able to choose a male for a free breeding. Besides that first pregnancy, you will also receive a second free breeding to one of Springtime Farms’ studs.

Choosing from the female huacaya alpacas for sale should go beyond who’s the cutest and where you can get the best price. Let’s talk about your breeding goals, vision of the future, and your budget. Springtime Farms has female huacaya alpacas for sale of many qualities of fiber, color and ages. Each is, in my opinion, adorable, but that doesn’t mean each is right for you.

One important thing to consider when looking at female alpacas for sale is the support you’ll receive after the sale, especially if you are new to alpacas. I had a wonderful mentor who was always available when I had a problem. I continue that tradition. Day or night, give me a call. I want the alpacas to be healthy, just like you.

Female alpacas for sale at Springtime Farms

I know I'm biased, but my girls are fabulous. Great dispositions, fabulous fiber, nice conformation, and adorable personalities. I adore each and every one of them.

Buying an alpaca is a huge decision, and I understand that. I've been there. :) Take your time perusing my girls, and feel free to come visit, too. Meredith@SnugglyToes.com or 719/783-9619

Argentina$18,000
Argentina is perfect! Look at that conformation.

Her dark fawn color has a subtle silvery/white
through it. And the quality is yummy. I've
never had fiber tested, instead relying on
touch to know the quality. Argentina has a
very nice touch.

Argentina's staple length last year was 4".

I'm happy to send you a sample of Argentina's fiber.

This beautiful baby is a year and a half old,
and will be bred for the first time this spring.
Choose from 3 herd sires to install the qualities
you want to breed.

Pictures of Argentina's dam and sire are below.
There is grey, white and black on Millie's side
and fawn, white and black on Paco's side.

Tessa$6,000
Tessa is the herd matriarch. She is in
charge of everyone, including the guard
dogs.

She is also a fantastic mother. She has
easy births, TONS of milk, and watches
her babies like a hawk. Her crias hit 50
lbs. in an average of four months.

Tessa is an older girl, and while her fiber
reflects that, her crias have wonderful
fiber.

Tessa also consistently passes on color
to her cria. See the pictures below.
Tessa has found a new owner to
love her. She is sold.

Painted Face$7,000
What a gorgeous face! I'd snuggle her all
day long, but she doesn't have much interest
in that.

Painted Face is not the curious sort. She likes
to be left alone.

Once she's been sheared, though, you can
get your hands on that beautiful fleece! The
color is great, as is the feel.

This darling has legs and teeth that are a
little wonky. I would also breed her to a boy
with lots of fiber.

Pike's Peak Patriot
a.k.a. Fat Patti
$15,000
This lady is one tough cookie. If there are
treats around, she's going to have one, or
two, or three.

Pike's Peak Patriot is also known as Fat Patti.
She's a very sturdy girl with a bit of a round
belly. She's a great mom too.

Her fiber, even at 7-years-old, is super
creamy. Fat Patti is a solid white girl. Her
babies are solid white too. Sirius and Walter,
who had white dads, are really nice boys.
Sirius has some of the best fiber of my herd.
Blanca, Patti's '07 girl with a dark fawn sire,
is absolutely stunning!
Her body is perfect, and while she's a solid
white, the color around her eyes is dark.
She's going to have beautiful babies.

Tippy$20,000
I'm just in love with Tippy. I bought her when
she was six months old, and have watched
her grow into a beautiful fawn.

She certainly did not disappoint. The fiber
and conformation stayed spot on. She has a
mellow personality but a joie de vive too.

Tippy needs a little extra nutrition and a
combination of inexpensive herbs when she
is nursing. A little TLC got her cria, Henry,
to a healthy 50 lbs. in no time.

I have kept her open, so she can have
spring babies. With her you'll get to pick out
two daddies.

Santa Fe$10,000
This young lady is certainly independent!
She'll come running for her chow, but she's
not the super snuggly type. She'll keep an
eye on you.

She has nice conformation, and is a great
mother. She didn't nurse her first baby, but
got the hang of things the second time
around, and has kept it up since. Her babies
love her, and she keeps an eye on them, but
they become as independent as she is.

She also passes on her "Santa Fe neck
stretch" trait. It's an absolute hoot!

Santa Fe's fiber is a beautiful color, but
isn't the softest. However, her cria's fiber
improves easily with breeding.

Millie$12,000
Millie is a bit of a character. She's a sweet
girl who's a little bit cautious. Her bug eye
look, where her eyes pop out and her ears
go back, tell you "I'm watchin' you." It's her
family trait.

This girl's fiber is yummy. It's super soft with
a nice crisp and decent staple length. I try
to include the white near her blanket when I
spin Millie so it comes out with a unique look.

She's a good mother who produces beautiful
babies. She is a little sensitive to the weather.
She's the first to shiver and the first to get hot.

Check out her babies below.

O'Shannon$20,000 This is a steal!
This girl is the whole package! I think she's
just perfect. Great conformation, fabulous
color, long staple length, super soft fiber,
and a great personality.

O'Shannon comes up for kisses, and loves
treats. Her fiber is a dream to spin because
it's so soft and so long. I think you'll agree
her color is awesome.

Check out Tessa (above) to see O'Shannon's
mom.

Raina$15,000
The yarn made from Raina's fiber is way
fantastic. Last year it all sold in a snap. It
has a subtle variation in the color and is
really soft.

Raina is a good girl. She takes care of her
babies and is an easy birther. Her fiber is
really wonderful.

Her personality doesn't stand out in crowd.
Rather, she's a sturdy girl who adds to the
herd gently.
